We're so lucky that Ottawa is close enough to Gatineau Park to go hiking. Though, if you don't have a car, it can be challenging to find a way to explore this natural gem. So to make it easier for everyone to get to Gatineau Park from Ottawa, Parkbus just announced a new shuttle bus service!

The newly launched Parkbus shuttle will run from August to October. The bus will provide roundtrip transportation from 1 George Street, across from Fairmont Château Laurier, to Gatineau Park.

Parkbus is offering two different routes to Gatineau Park. The Gatineau Park Main Parkway route will travel from downtown Ottawa and stop at the Pink Lake trailhead, MacKenzie King Estate, the King Mountain trailhead, and the Champlain Lookout. This express bus route is fantastic because it will take you to many of the top sights in Gatineau Park where you can enjoy scenic lookouts.

The other route is Gatineau Park Philippe Lake. This shuttle will also start in downtown Ottawa but will go all the way to Phillippe Lake. This bus shuttle is perfect for anyone who wants to swim at Breton Beach, go hiking around Philippe Lake or explore the Lusk Cave.

Parkbus will travel to Gatineau Park for eight days in August and October. The Gatineau Park Main Parkway route will be on August 3 and 31. The Gatineau Park Philippe Lake route will run on August 17 and 24, and October 12, 19, and 26.

Make sure to buy your tickets now as there's only a limited quantity of tickets available. Round trip tickets are $20, with student tickets available for only $18.
