It's a beautiful time of year to explore the great outdoors. With so many hikes and trails available to us, it's easy to spend every weekend on a different adventure. If you love exploring and are looking for something new and exciting to try, then you'll love this adorable hiking trip you can take with a furry friend! Ottawa's llama walk takes you along the stunning Jock River with your very own llama buddy.
Walk side by side with a fluffy llama, and take in the gorgeous fall views together. The event is run by the Jock River Alpaca & Llama Farm, located in Richmond near Ottawa. Meet all the cute llamas and take one on a special riverside date!
The farm is home to a variety of llamas and alpacas, many of which are rescues. Each animal has a very unique personality, and you'll be falling in love with every single one! Duke, the confident food-loving llama, is comically proud and has adorable chubby cheeks.
You'll get to walk your own individual llama along the Jock River. The hour-long journey is a great way for you and the llama to take in some views and enjoy the outdoors. The event has become very popular for dates, and couples can fall in love while strolling beside a fluffy llama friend!
After you've finished the walk, be sure to check out the farm's fleece products, made with real llama and alpaca fur. These items are available at the Village Shop in Richmond.
The hike runs year-round, but specific dates depend on the owner's availability. You can book a spot through the Wandure app, a platform for adventure seekers to mingle and explore new activities. Get your tickets here.
