The Week-Long Tailgate Festival In Ottawa You Need To Attend
At this stage in the game, pretty much everyone in Ottawa knows that one really popular sporting event is coming up.
Of course, I'm talking about the Grey Cup, going down this year on November 26 at Ottawa's TD Place.
But while the Grey Cup is all kinds of fun, I mean, we are hosting it after all, there's one event leading up to the Grey Cup that will 100% steal the show this year all thanks to its events and activities, food, live music, CFL team parties and a whole lot more!
The Grey Cup Festival, taking place this year on November 21 and going down all the way until November 26, is a giant party celebrating Canadian culture that'll be overtaking Ottawa the week before the Grey Cup.
Basically, it's the biggest party in Ottawa and every single day, The Grey Cup Festival will be packed with incredibly fun events for everyone!
An example of the selection of super fun festivities Ottawans have in store for them at this city-wide fest? Multiple concerts - including Jess Moskaluke, Sloan, April Wine and Trooper, free events like the silent disco and a pancake breakfast on November 24 and 25 at Aberdeen Square; and literally TONS of parties.
Like the mindblowingly fun RNation Party happening from November 23-25 and the Tailgate Party happening November 26 at the Great Lawn. This party is actually so huge that it's the biggest one in the entire CFL's history. That's big, guys!
The party gets you early access onto the Great Lawn, where you'll be able to enjoy live music, drink some beers and grab a bite or two. Plus, you'll be surrounded by other football fans literally hours away from the biggest Canadian football event of the season. Honestly, it's the best way to end the Grey Cup Festival and begin the Grey Cup, and all you need to attend this massive party is your 105th Grey Cup ticket!
While the Tailgate Festival on the 26th is huge, that's just one part of a gigantic lineup of AWESOME events that are planned at this year's 2017 Grey Cup Festival!
The fest is also going to be hosting a Capital Pride Grey Cup Party, celebrating the relationship between Canadian football and the LGBTQ community; a Street Festival, with live entertainment, giveaways, player appearances and more; a CFLAA Legends Luncheon, where fans will get to share a meal with some of the CFL's most beloved legends; and a whole lot more events, many of which are totally free to attend.
I mean, sick parties, live music, epic performances and a whole city transformed into one SERIOUSLY awesome celebration? Yeah. Sounds like an incredibly amazing time!
