Once it hits the weekend we all want to relax and celebrate the fact that we survived another long week. Whether you work through the week from 9 am to 5 pm or you are constantly in and out of lectures and always doing readings, we all deserve to take a break.
Ottawa has a couple of nice bars in the city that serve up great drinks, but this spot also serves up the most delicious meals ever. If you and your BFFs or bae are looking for something to do this weekend, look no further because you will love sipping on cocktails while indulging in amazing foods. Cocktails are such a perfect way to celebrate the fact that the week is over and the sun is FINALLY coming out again.
EVOO Greek Kitchen is responsible for creating some of the most unique and tasty cocktails in the city. Whether you're looking for something sweet and refreshing or subtle yet flavourful, there is something for everyone here. They serve up a variety of cocktails, some of them include:
- LavenDream: Prosecco, Hayman's Gin, St. Germaine, Lavender-Pomegranate Syrup, Lemon Juice
- Despacito: Cazadores Bianco Tequila, Jaral del Berrio mezcal, Cassis, Lime Juice, Ginger Syrup, Soda
- Liquid Imagination: Tanqueray Ten, Aperol, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup
- Spicy Bison: Zubrowka Vodka, Jalapeno Syrup, Grapefruit Juice, Lime Juice, Soda
- The 613: Tito's Vodka, Cocchi Americano, Rooibos Tea Syrup, Lemon Juice, Soda
Not only does EVOO Greek Kitchen serve up yummy drinks, they also serve unbelievably tasty meals! If you're a fan or Greek cuisine then you need to head here ASAP. Their Chicken Paidakia (chopped chicken), is absolutely delicious. No matter what you order you need to pair your meal with their tasty tzatziki! Some other Greek specialties include Spanakopita (my personal favourite), Pork Souvlaki, Greek Sausage, and Kokkinisto (braised short ribs).
Don't even get me started on their desserts. Honestly, if you have a sweet tooth (like me) then you need to try these traditional Greek desserts. From galaktobouriko to karithopita you will be in dessert heaven. Their desserts are rich and many of them include a velvety custard.
Make your way to 438 Preston Street to sip away your weekend! Everyone deserves to take at least one night off every weekend and when you do, make sure you go to EVOO! The restaurant is open until 1 am from Thursday to Saturday so you seriously have all night to try out some great drinks. For more information about EVOO Greek Kitchen click here.
