uOttawa Might Go On Strike And Here's When

Oh no.
uOttawa Might Go On Strike And Here's When

First Ontario colleges, and now it seems like universities are having the same luck or lack of. Well, uOttawa is at least.

Students attending the University of Ottawa will probably know that the faculty has been in negotiation with the union for several months. This has to do with the part-time professors at the uOttawa, which affects almost all of the professors considering most of them are part-time. Not only does this affect the university, but it deeply affects the students as well.

According to an email students received today, the university and the APTPUO have to agree on the terms during mediation, which takes places on October 26th and 27th. They have also agreed to talk without a mediator on the 28th and 29th. However, if the university and union can't come to an agreement, then the strike will commence on October 30th.

As for what this means for the students, a ton of students that are experiencing the Ontario college strike right now are trying to get their money back, however, it looks unlikely.
