Upper Canada Village Has Turned Into A Massive Jack-O'-Lantern Garden

Halloween's never been more lit.
Upper Canada Village Has Turned Into A Massive Jack-O'-Lantern Garden

Upper Canada Village's Pumpkinferno is the definition of all that's lit. From Sept. 30 - Oct. 30, this 19th century village becomes the home to 7000 hand-crafted pumpkins. We're freaking out.

We're not talking about ordinary jack-o'-lanterns, by the way. The displays are the only one of their kind in the city. We're talking dragons, trees and mythical creatures made out of jack-o'-lanterns. This place is nuts.

Halloween lovers can visit the displays on the following dates:

Sept. 30 - Oct. 19: Thursday to Sunday, 7-10pm.

Oct. 10 (Thanksgiving Monday): 7-10pm.

Oct. 20 - Oct. 29: Thursday to Sunday, 630-10pm.

Oct. 30: 5:30-10pm.

The location is Upper Canada Village, just an hour's drive south from Ottawa. That's 13740 County Road 2, Morrisburg, ON.

Prices for admission are $14 plus tax for adults (13-64). The price is absolutely worth it, if the pictures haven't convinced you.

Pumpkinferno has been named "Best New Event In Ontario" by Festival and Events Ontario. It's even been considered "Tourism Event Of The Year" by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario.

Take that, Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Ottawa is clearly the place to be for Halloween this year.

A Guinness World Record has just been bestowed upon a very, very tall Canadian teen, and he truly stands head and shoulders above most of us.

Hailing from Quebec, 15-year-old Olivier Rioux clocks in at a neck-ache-inducing 7 feet, 5.33 inches tall, which has earned him a place in the 2022 edition of the Guinness World Records as the world's tallest living male teenager. That makes him taller than any of the Toronto Raptors players.
