This fall visit a magical butterfly paradise at Carleton University. Each year Carleton University's Biology Department hosts the annual butterfly show which is a free event that you need to attend. You'll want to make sure to have your camera ready as there will be tons of outstanding photo opportunities of the colorful butterflies in the lush greenhouse.

The nine-day show will feature 1300 exotic butterflies from all around the world. The butterfly show will take place on the west side of Carleton's campus within the greenhouse. Once you enter the steamy greenhouse, you will be able to see all the multicolored live butterflies fluttering everywhere! If you want to draw butterflies to you, arrive wearing bright colors, or you can grab one of the oranges provided to attract the butterflies to land on your hand!

Last year more 10,000 visitors attended the beautiful butterfly show in Ottawa. This year the event is held from September 29 till October 7 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. On weekends, the last admission to the show will be at 3 pm due to the volume of people attending to ensure everyone can leave the greenhouse by 4:00 pm.
