Zaphod Beeblebrox In Ottawa Is Closing In A Couple Weeks

If you're from Ottawa, then you've heard of Zaphod Beeblebrox. I mean, everyone just calls it Zaphods, so we'll go with that.

This sad news came to be when on Sunday night, they told their loyal customers over the speaker at the popular bar. Known for being a 'hipster' club, Zaphods was the place to be in the ByWard Market even if it was just your first time there.

It opened in 1989 on Rideau Street, moved to its current location in 1992 and has been insanely popular ever since then. So popular in fact, that The Rolling Stones shot a music video in the club for their song Streets of Love in 2005.

Although the reason isn't quite known for why the club is closing, it will surely be missed as a staple in the ByWard Market night scene.
