According to the special weather statement, the cold winds from the northwest are going to cause flurries and potentially even snow squalls in some areas in Southern Ontario. By tomorrow morning they are expecting up to 15 cm of snow in some places.

The warnings have been issued across the province including places like Ottawa, Barrie, and Waterloo. Warnings are also in effect in Cornwall, Dufferin, Grey-Bruce, Huron, London, Oxford-Brant, and Prescott-Russell.

Along with the anticipated snowfall, Environment Canada is also warning about a messy commute today and tomorrow morning. They say that roads could become slippery and that the snow will cause poor driving conditions.

As a result, they have issued a special winter travel advisory in those regions. While they aren't warning people not to drive at all, they do say that adjustments should be made to travel plans to ensure everybody's safety.

While some places near and around Toronto are affected by these weather warnings this city itself seems to have been spared by the snow. The city is expected to get less than 1 cm of snow today and only an additional 3 cm over the next few days.
