People Are Trashing Kim Kardashian For Her Tribute To The Late Karl Lagerfeld On Instagram

Fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld passed away early Tuesday morning.

It's a sad day in the world of fashion. The iconic creative director, fashion designer, artist, and photographer Karl Lagerfeld passed away this morning at the age of 85. As such a major name in the fashion world, Lagerfeld had great relationships with so many celebrities. As is tradition, many of these celebrities have taken to social media to pay their respects. Usually, this is seen as a kind gesture, but people are trashing Kim Kardashian for her tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld on Instagram

Over the years, Kim Kardashian West has become a bit of an icon in the fashion world herself, particularly since her marriage to Kanye West. Because of her celebrity status, Kim has collaborated with many famous designers and photographers over the years, including Lagerfeld. Seeing as the two have a history of working together, it would only make sense for Kim to pay tribute to the legend on Instagram.

In typical Kardashian fashion though, Kim made sure that each photo she posted in the Instagram carousel included her in some type of way. The photo set includes six photos total, with the last one mainly being a snap of her and Kanye - we can vaguely see Lagerfeld's face in the corner, showing that he was obviously cropped out.

Seeing as this is a tribute to someone who has just died, posting photos that mainly focus on Kim seems rather inappropriate and tasteless. Fans have begun leaving absolutely savage comments on the post to let Kim know that her tribute is not as endearing as she meant it to be:

I think it's safe to assume that Kim had good intentions while making the post, but she definitely could've thought twice about her choice of photos. A simple photo of Karl would've sufficed, or even a photo where the two are both front and center, representing the friendship they had built over years of working together.
