Calling all adventure lovers! If your wanderlust is getting the best of you right now, don’t worry. You may not be able to go camping with the squad until further notice, but you can still visit some seriously stunning Ontario vacation rentals via the internet.

Toronto-based YouTubers Becky Wright and Kelsey MacDermaid, a.k.a The Sorry Girls (TSG), recently launched a brand new show which features exclusively Ontario-based rental properties that need a facelift.

The series, titled "Upgrade My Stay," has Kelsey and Becky checking into vacation rentals across the province and working their makeover magic during a 2.5-day period.

In the show’s early development, the TSG team already had an idea of what kind of spaces they wanted to makeover for the series.

From there, it was just a matter of finding those unique rentals and asking the owners if they were interested.

And with TSG fitting the bill, who could say no?

“We are covering the cost of the makeover so it's pretty much a win-win for everyone involved, we get to do something we love and make content and the host gets their space promoted and (a) makeover for no charge,” The Sorry Girls tell Narcity.

When filming day rolls around, the TSG team, which has tripled in size for this series, gets straight to work.

And while you get to see the transformation from start to finish, not everything makes the final cut.

“We strive to make these episodes feel genuine, so a lot of the good, bad, and ugly does end up in the episode. (But) a lot of what the camera doesn’t see involves moving and assembling furniture, unloading trucks, decluttering, ordering lunch, tidying up, running out to grab last-minute supplies at the small-town hardware store, bad weather, and flat tires,” TSG explains.

Since the launch of their channel in 2010, The Sorry Girls have grown and evolved to feature large-scale makeovers in addition to the smaller DIY projects that started it all.

“Something that has definitely changed is doing makeovers for other people who have different needs and wants out of a space than us. Doing makeovers for other people makes things more difficult for sure, but also makes it more rewarding,” TSG shares with Narcity.

Currently, there are three episodes of the series available to watch on YouTube, with five more set to air this year.

However, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, filming for the latter half of season one could be delayed, TSG member Daniella tells Narcity.

“We are very fortunate to have just finished our first winter wave of shooting for the show just before COVID-19 became a serious global issue, so for right now the virus is not affecting the series," Daniella explains.

She adds: "If we are still practicing social distancing in a few month’s time, there may be delays in filming our second summer wave of episodes.”

That would be a shame, because, whether they're adding those famous "final touches" or nervous-laughing their way through obstacles, these Toronto YouTubers are a joy to watch.

So if you're looking for a way to enjoy a virtual camping trip while you're stuck at home, why not check out "Upgrade My Stay?"
