By now, we’ve all heard about the acclaimed wonders of CBD. Even Doctors are recommending CBD oil and swearing by the effects. From CBD infused tacos and ice cream, the world can’t seem to get enough of this (mostly) legal cannabinoid.
Even with its rising popularity, there is still a stigma that surrounds CBD and those who choose to use it. According to WebMD, the only thing that CBD has been recommended for approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration is CBD medication Epidiolex to treat two rare forms of childhood epilepsy. Other uses of the substance have not been studied long or thoroughly enough to be approved for other afflictions.
But, at one Orlando doctor’s office, the evidence that this natural ingredient is changing lives seems to be undeniable—and perhaps for the better, according to the testimonials of Dr. Ashok Khanna, MD of Internal Medicine employees.
Stacey, the office receptionist who has worked closely with Dr. Ashok Khanna in the building of their medical practice, had only good things to tell us.
Their journey into the world of medical CBD began with a trip to Amsterdam to learn all they could about the cannabinoid. The main goal was to lift the stigma that still surrounded its use and to provide an alternative for the much more controversial opioids.
Today, the practice of Dr. Ashok Khanna, MD of Internal Medicine, has been flourishing for two years and offers a variety of CBD infused products. From gummies, tea, coffee, fruit, and bath bombs, all of their products are sourced from DiamondCBD in Fort Lauderdale.
Stacey shared some of their success stories with us, and one, in particular, stood out. According to her retelling, at the beginning of their practice, they took on a patient whom other doctors had given up on. With Stage 4 rectal cancer, he was given months to live.
Stacy claims that after taking Dr. Khanna’s CBD infused oil, the patient later went into remission, and two years later is alive and well; and still taking the oil.
Dr. Khanna himself was involved in a robbery years ago, which left him with a bullet wound to the leg. Today, he says he takes daily CBD gummy supplements to manage the pain and he claims to have no problems with movement or function.
Dr. Khanna works with his patients through a number of different diagnoses: cancer, epilepsy, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, PTSD, Crohn’s Disease, Parkinson’s, EMS, Chronic nonmalignant pain (different form cancer), and ALS.
They collect their own research on each patient and how CBD would benefit them and submit it to the state for validity.
Today, Dr. Khanna sees many veterans for PTSD but claims that CBD can help any number of ailments. You can see more information about CBD on their website below.
