Drake is probably the best known celebrity in Toronto right now. He's won multiple Grammy's, has Toronto Raptors games dedicated to him, and he just generally seems like a cool guy.
But not everyone is a fan of his right now.
The animal rights activists at PETA have definitely come for Drake in the open letter they wrote to him about his clothing and business choices and they aren't happy.
Because a few days ago during a live stream of the game Fortnite Drake announced that he's become a vegetarian.
PETA questions just how committed to animal rights the rapper is because his clothing line October's Very Own has an association with known fur touting brand, Canada Goose.
PETA has openly expressed their issues with the jacket company, saying in their open letter to Drake that:
"Canada Goose touts a fake love for the environment yet kills ducks and geese for their down and uses painful steel traps to catch wild coyotes — who pray to make it back in one piece to their families but instead suffer and are killed in horrible ways so that their fur can go around someone’s neck.”
PETA urged Drake to drop the clothing company.
"Since you’ve made the great, kind, and forward-thinking choice not to eat animals, please, please, please, take one more step: Stop wearing them, and end October’s Very Own’s partnership with cruel company Canada Goose immediately."
Drake hasn't responded to PETA publicly as of yet.
