If you live in the Valley you know that summertime is the worst! We're ready for cool weather and amazing food festivals that make the desert heat tolerable, especially when the food festivals showcase sugary and delectable sweet treats. Next weekend you'll be in a sweet dessert dream at this donut and ice cream festival in Phoenix.
On Sunday, Sept. 22 from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., you and your BFFs can go to Arizona's first-ever donut and ice cream festival. With over 15 local vendors you will be in a dessert lovers' dream come true. Parking is limited, but there will be street parking and a parking garage available, so plan accordingly.
Narcity has reached out to the Arizona Donut and Ice Cream Festival and confirmed that this is a truly unique event. You can expect a variety of culturally inspired sweet treats such as sweet rolls with Thai-inspired ice cream, traditional beignets, and more! Tickets to the event are $8 each or you can start the event early at 11:00 a.m. for $12.
Some of the delicious food at this festival will be making a debut there too, like ice cream bao. It's a fried bun stuffed with green tea ice cream. One bite and it'll be a matcha party in your mouth!
The event will also have free games that will help you burn off those donut calories and a marketplace filled with pop culture artists selling anime stickers, enamel pins, and more.
You'll be able to buy all the sweet treats you like outside and inside you can sip on boba, coffee, cocktails, beer and more at the Pressroom. You can't bring your pet here unless they are a service animal, which means more sweet treats for you!
Some of the venders include:
- Beignet Babe
- OMG Yogurt
- Sweet Rolls Ice Cream
- Scoop and Joy Lounge
- Ice Craft
- The Beignet and Coffee Shack
- Just Churros
- Taste of Korea
- Hot Bamboo
and many more!
From 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. you can even compete in the Super Smash Bros Tournament. It's free to play and there will be some cool prizes for you to win too.
