With so much negativity in the world right now, a little positivity is surely welcomed. Just when it's most needed, a local Arizona restaurant is going above and beyond to help others during this difficult time. The chain, Someburros in Phoenix, is delivering free meals to first responders as a "thank you" for their hard work.
While many businesses and workers are staying home and self-distancing, first responders don't get that opportunity, and their dedication is being recognized around the nation.
In Phoenix, Someburros is one of the companies giving back. They have been surprising workers with huge platters of delicious meals all week.
As a gesture of appreciation to first response teams, Someburros began delivery on Saturday and has taken over 20 platters of food to various hospitals and fire stations, providing over 200 workers with a free meal.
The Vasquez family is working hard to provide for them the best way they know how: ensuring they're receiving delicious meals even while working tirelessly.
They're delivering Fiesta Platters to tons of emergency rooms and fire stations, brightening workers' days with chimichangas and guacamole.
The idea started at the Gilbert location and quickly spread to the others around the state.
Some of their menu items that can be frozen and reheated later include beef or chicken taquitos, green chili, and bean and cheese burros, and small platters of beans.
Orders can be placed online, over the phone, on the app, via Doordash or at the restaurant.
As of one day ago, the chain ran out of bulk food and will continue to limit the number of items you can purchase to five orders per customer.
