This Boozy Bookstore In Arizona Is The Best Place To Drink & Read

Trashy novel in one hand & a glass of wine in the other.
This Bookstore Bar In Arizona Lets You Read & Drink Booze

We know one of the Grand Canyon State's best-kept secrets. There's a bookstore bar in Arizona, where you can drink and read the day away. It is the perfect place for book worms and wine connoisseurs alike.

First Draft Book Bar is one of the valley's best hangout spots that lets you feel smart while drinking. You'll find the hotspot located inside the Changing Hands Bookstore off of Camelback Road in Phoenix.

The independent store's valley location has a bit of history. It's located inside the old Beefeater's restaurant, where it exudes a mid-century charm.

With used and new books, gifts, and toys for sale, it's a book lover's paradise.

The bar serves up everything from coffee and draft beer to delicious charcuterie boards. So, whether you're craving a cold brew or iced latte, you can drink your fill along with a juicy page-turner in hand.

Draft ales range from $4 for a half-pint up to $26 for a 64-ounce drink with a growler.

You can go with your friends and score some good deals during happy hour. It's Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on the weekend from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On various days throughout the year, the store hosts events.

One of our favorite ones is the Annual Harry Potter Birthday Party, featuring boozy and non-boozy themed drinks such as Butterbeer.

On Wednesdays, you can score $1 off glasses of wine for #winedownwednesdays.

If you're not much of a reader and more of a gamer, we've got a treat for you too. There's a new arcade bar nearby in Gilbert that'll bring you back to the 80s.

Whether you're scoping out the pub scene or love a good novel, this spot will give you the best of both worlds.
