Matthew Perry Looks Better Than He Has In Years After "Friends" Costars Express Concerns (PHOTOS)

'I'll be there for you' has applied to the "Friends" cast long after their 10 season run, especially when it comes to Matthew Perry. Everyone knows that Perry has been struggling with substance abuse and alcoholism since 1997 and that the past 22 years have just been an endless cycle of rehab and relapse. Jennifer Anniston and Courteney Cox recently expressed their concern over his image but photos of "Friends" star Matthew Perry show he is on the road to recovery.

He's been in and out of rehab a couple of times. In his most recent visit, he was kicked out of therapy for apparently using a dating app during the session. The world was worried after photos of him surfaced after spending 2 years out of the public eye. His hair was messy. he had uncut nails, and his clothes were quite shabby. His appearance prompted worried responses from his "Friends" costars.

A friend of Perry's told RadarOnline that, "he's tried to get sober, he's tried to stay sober, but it never works." They also said that because of his tendency to relapse, after he's released from rehab his friends just, "start the countdown to the next time he falls off the wagon."

The last time Perry spoke to reporters about his addiction was back in 2013 when he told "PEOPLE" that, "You can't have a drug problem for 30 years and expect to have it be solved in 28 days. Getting sober is really a hard thing to do."

While it isn't possible in 28 days maybe it is in 22 years? Perry was recently seen entering a hospital to get treated for an unknown cause, people are speculating it's something related to the ruptured bowel he recently recovered from over 3 months. Despite that, he's looking better than ever!

With a new fresh look, we can only hope this means that Perry is on his way to long-term recovery!
