Police Release New Updated Information On 2 Canadian Teens Charged For Northern BC Murders

All of Canada’s eyes and ears are on the lookout for the two BC teens who are wanted for three murders. Now, RCMP have just released new information regarding the two missing Port Alberni teens charged for murder and provided an update on their whereabouts.

RCMP are no longer considering 19-year-old Kam McLeod and 18-year-old Bryer Schmegelsky as missing. The two are now wanted as suspects in the murder of three individuals including the deaths of Lucas Fowler, a 23-year-old Australian man, and Chynna Deese, a 24-year-old American woman. The two young men are on the run and were recently seen in Manitoba.

As the nationwide manhunt continues, RCMP have released new information to aid in the investigation. According to a series of tweets released by Jess Fedigan, police stated that there have been two confirmed sightings of Schmegelsky and McLeod in Gilliam, Manitoba.

In a video posted by CTV News, officers have said that there have been zero reports of stolen vehicles in the area reported to Manitoba RCMP. Police officials believe that the two teens are still in the area, due to this fact.

These two sightings were allegedly before the burnt Toyota Rav4 was found in near Fox Lake Cree Nation.

Manitoba RCMP have said that there are multiple police services from numerous provinces in the Gillam area including crisis teams, police dog services, and other divisions.

Recently, family and former classmates of the boys revealed disturbing details about the two teens. Schmegelsky's father believes his son will die “in a blaze of glory.”

The two teens have reportedly been linked to far-right ideology online, with one even posing in Nazi apparel. The Globe and Mail reported that the two were linked “to a YouTube page called Illusive Gameing [sic].” According to the Globe and Mail, these accounts feature a mix of far-right ideology, hentai, and Soviet imagery.

The two teens are wanted as the nation-wide hunt continues. Two mayors in northern Manitoba, including Churchill and Gillam, have even sent out warnings to residents encouraging them to lock their doors.

The Port Alberni, BC teens are six-foot, four inches tall and weigh 169 pounds. McLeod has dark brown hair, facial hair, and brown eyes. Schmegelsky has sandy brown hair. RCMP have noted that they two may have changed their appearance.

RCMP are calling the duo armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots them should not approach and instead, should call 911.
