If you only have one day to spend in YQR, you better make the most of it! Regina has much to offer when it comes to places to go, things to do, and food to eat (including unreal cupcakes #omnomnom).
Whether your just passing through, or — roadtrip idea! — you want to pack your bestie or S.O. into the car for a jam-packed 24 hours in Queen City, you have to check out these amazing places! See how many things you can get in and even stay up all night if you have to — you can sleep when you're home!
9 am: Start your morning off right at Breakfast Bistro Regina.
Known for delicious eggs benny and waffles (they even have gluten-free ones!), Breakfast Bistro Regina will be the perfect way to kickstart your day and give you the energy you need for your 24 hours of fun.
10:30 am: Get your coffee fix at 13th Ave Food & Coffee House.
You're going to need caffeine to stay awake for your day. Don't worry — this won't be the only coffee stop of the day! Get that coffee to go and get ready for your next activity.
10:45 am: Take your coffee on a walk along Wascana Park.
Enjoy some beautiful sights of Regina while you do a leisurely stroll around the park. You can see beautiful views of Wascana Lake and the Legislative Building while you're at it. This is also a great place to take photos!
12:00 pm: Refuel with lunch in the downtown area.
No matter what you're in the mood for come lunchtime, Regina's downtown has you covered. Try Flip Eatery & Drink for some upscale fare, The Green Spot Cafe for vegan and vegetarian eats, or Beer Bros. Gastropub and Deli for some classic pub food.
1:30 pm: Do some shopping at boutiques downtown and at Cornwall Centre.
Since you'll already be downtown for lunch, stay there a little while longer and get some browsing in. Downtown boutique faves include Norwood Clothing Company, Stella & Sway Boutique, and Zoe Boutique.
3:30 pm: Check out the Saskatchewan Legislative Building.
If you only have 24 hours in Regina, you have to check out the Legislature Building. You can do a half hour public tour free of charge, which is worth it to see the gorgeous architecture and beautiful gardens.
4:30 pm: Stop for an afternoon pick-me-up at Cafe DRIP.
For delicious coffee and treats, including cookies, cupcakes, and healthy snacking options as well, check out Cafe DRIP. Other options in the area include Good Earth Coffeehouse and Bakery, or Koko Patisserie.
5:30 pm: Burn some cals at an early evening Local Barre Fitness class.
After all the goodies (and right before dinner!), sneak in a fitness class at Regina's brand new Local Barre. It's a pilates, ballet, and yoga inspired fitness class, meaning you'll burn some cals without getting too sweaty before dinner.
7pm: Dress up and get classy AF for dinner at the Hotel Saskatchewan.
Regina's historic hotel is open for dinner, and if you and your travel partner are up for a little splurging, this is the place to be! Alternatively, if you're more of an outdoor-dining person but you still want that classy vibe, check out 20Ten City Eatery, and dine on their unreal patio.
9pm: Hit up Victoria's Tavern downtown for an evening cocktail!
If you've made it this far, you deserve a reward (aka, a drink). Victoria's Tavern has a great vintage feel, and another good pub option is The Lobby Public House.
11pm: Dance the night away at Rogue Nightclub.
If you just happen to be visiting on a Friday, there's also karaoke at Rogue. If not, no problem! There's still great music and dancing to be enjoyed here (as you also enjoy more than a few drankzzz).
1 am: Call it a night at the Ramada Plaza Regina.
It's time for some Zzzzz, and you've earned it! Order some room service to satisfy those late night munchies before you crash, and then enjoy a good night's sleep.
11 am: Brunch or lunch at Fresh & Sweet.
Only a 10 minute walk from the hotel, stop at Fresh & Sweet as a last stop in the city. Depending on what you're in the mood for, you can do brunch and breakfast fare, or lunch food. Eat in or take it go and grab one last photo to remember your adventure in Queen City!
