Hibernation season is officially over. You know what that means, right? We can start eating food outside again! It might not be the first thing that comes to mind when we think of summer but I know I'm not the only one that gets super excited about the thought of eating good food outside on a beautiful summer day.
Food trucks are all the rage right now when it comes to outdoor dining. From gourmet grilled cheese creations to big juicy burgers, food trucks have taken our appetites and steered them right into the world of delicious fast food. You're probably getting serious cravings as we speak so I'm going to stop being a tease and get straight to the point.
This summer, Saskatoon will be throwing a food truck parade aka #streetstallsaturdays every week starting May 6 until September 20th. That's 22 weeks of being able to stuff your face with fast food! That might not be so great for the summer bod though so I'd suggest doing this sort of thing in moderation.
There will also be a market with all kinds of local vendors selling things like handmade goods, art, jewelry, homemade food products, wine & beer making supplies, and more. Check it out!
Registration for the following two weeks will open on January 4 and only 30 people are permitted during each time slot so space is limited.
Skate times are 45 minutes and you have to leave the ice when your time is up.
There are COVID-19 rules in place, like maintaining a distance of at least two metres from other groups at all times. Masks are strongly recommended but only required inside Harvard Lounge and when physical distancing can't be done.
If the temperature is -20 C or colder, not including windchill, the rink will be closed to the public.
Iceville will be open for skating from December 31 to February 28, weather permitting.
