Drake & Rihanna Were Spotted In NYC After Her Reported Breakup With Hassan Jameel

Keeping busy! After her reported breakup with Hassan Jameel, Rihanna and Drake’s spotting in New York City has fans wondering if they’ve rekindled their friendship. The two singers were at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center over the weekend celebrating Yams Day 2020.

Yams Day, according to Billboard, is meant to celebrate the life of Rapper “A$AP” Yams who passed away from an accidental overdose in 2015, and that’s exactly what the two artists were doing.

In the video taken by a concert goer, it shows Drake and Rihanna standing next to one another in a crowd of people while they take in the show in front of them.

They also took the time to take selfies with a fan at the event.

This isn’t the first time the two have been seen together in the past few months, the “Work” singer reportedly attended the Toronto native’s birthday bash back in October where a source reported to E! News that, “Her and Drake were talking for a while and were smiling and laughing.”

The Canadian rapper’s relationship with RiRi has apparently been a rocky road for many years.

Back in 2016, Drake declared his love for the “Disturbia” singer at the 2016 VMAs. However, in Rihanna’s most recent interview, she told Vogue, “We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is.”

Even more recently, the rapper faced backlash from fans online after he defended Chris Brown for his actions with Rihanna in the past.

However, if these last few outings with one another are any indication, the pair could potentially have reconciled their friendship.

A$AP Rocky was also in attendance at the benefit concert, someone who Rihanna has reportedly associated with after her alleged breakup with Jameel. According to TMZ, the pair have been spending ample time together.

She isn’t the only one with multiple dating rumours, Drake has also been tied to Kylie Jenner since his birthday this past October. The 22-year-old, according to US Weekly, spent a lot of time dancing and talking with Drake and his friends.

Other artists present at the Yams Day event included Pi'erre Bourne, Kenny Beats, Smooky MarGielaa, Metro Boomin, Nav, Slowthai, Lil Yachty, Young M.A., Sheck Wes.

As of Thursday, the City is reporting even more Toronto COVID-19 outbreaks. According to the website, there are currently 22 active outbreaks across the 6ix, with most of them being in community and workplace settings.

The popular JOEY Restaurant in Sherway Gardens is just one of the spots that are reporting an active outbreak. Three cases have been reported and the outbreak was declared on September 10.
