Cole Sprouse And Lili Reinhart Of 'Riverdale' Have Officially Broken Up
It's basically a cardinal rule of relationships that you should never date a coworker, if at all possible. Sometimes it's unavoidable, and it can be kind of nice to see your significant other on a regular basis, but when you break up, things can get messy, and fast. Unfortunately for the cast of Riverdale, it looks like things might be a little awkward on set. Riverdale's Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have split after 2 years of dating.
The news came from UsWeekly just minutes ago, after multiple sources confirmed it to the news outlet. The pair was spotted at San Diego's Comic-Con over the weekend, although it was noted that they were keeping their distance from one another at an Entertainment Weekly party.
At the party, Sprouse was overheard telling a friend of his that he and Reinhart had split. Later that night, Sprouse left with his co-stars KJ Apa and Camila Mendes, but not Reinhart.
Although they didn't mingle much at the party, it would appear that they're still on semi-decent terms, as they were seated next to one another during their Comic-Con panel, and Reinhart posted a funny snap of her, Sprouse, and Apa to Instagram.
The news comes as a shock to plenty of fans, as the couple has been together for nearly two years now, and have always seemed incredibly happy together. On-screen, the Riverdale stars play couple Betty and Jughead, so it'll be interesting to see if this breakup affects their character dynamic.
An exact reason for the couple's split hasn't been revealed to news sources yet, although we're anticipating that Reinhart and/or Sprouse will release some sort of statement to let their fans know what's really going on between them. Let's just hope the next season of Riverdale doesn't have too much off-screen drama because we already know there's enough on-screen.
