She had her cake and ate it too! Riverdale's Vanessa Morgan celebrated her birthday at home without any party guests. Luckily, her husband delivered the ultimate cake that's totally relatable to the current world events.
The Ottawa born actress turned 28 yesterday, and according to her Instagram caption, spent it alone with her new hubby, Michael Kopech.
The two tied the knot in early January with a stunning ceremony in Homestead, Florida. 23-year-old Kopech is a Chicago White Sox pitcher from Texas.
He certainly came through with husband duties for his wife. The pitcher ordered a funfetti layer cake that perfectly resembles a giant container of lemon-scented Lysol disinfectant wipes.
In the caption accompanying photos of the cake, Morgan wrote, "Thank you all so much for the Birthday Messages! Ahaha never thought a Lysol cake would be my dream cake but here in 2020, yup it is! Been a weird Birthday for me, not getting to be with my family or my friends and in self quarantine, so feeling really sad today. But thanking all of you for helping me put a smile on my face today. Hope everyone is staying strong at home ♥️ i love you."
Over on her story, the actress shared more snaps of her in awe of the edible masterpiece.
Earlier today, Morgan posted a photo of crystals that she was also gifted which are pretty useful since she needs "all the healing power I can get rn".
Though social distancing protocols mean that she can't hang out with any of her friends, her Riverdale co-star Camila Mendes wished her a happy birthday with a throwback of the two dancing together on a boat.
Production on Riverdale normally films in Vancouver but was suspended on March 11 after a team member came in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19. It was done with extra caution and safety in mind for cast and crew.
Riverdale is one of the many TV shows, movies, and concerts that are currently suspended due to the pandemic.
