Western Canada is filled with beauty. From the mountains to the ocean and sometimes both at the same time, it's truly breathtaking.
But, if you're looking to switch it up with traditional castles and rolling green hills, you're probably tempted to hop on a plane to Europe.
But little did you know that there are actually some breathtaking castles right here in the homeland. Even better, one of those castles also happens to be a winery.

Road 13 was voted as the best winery in all of Canada in 2018, says Global News.
The winery is located between the towns of Oliver and Osoyoos, right in the heart of Okanagan Valley. The drive from downtown Vancouver will be just under five hours.
Road 13 is currently re-imagining their wine tasting experience in both their lounge and their castle for summer 2020.
Summer after summer they have offered a wide range of tasting packages that can have you sipping on all sorts of wines for less than you'd pay for a bottle at the liquor store.

The winery gets most of their grapes from the two vineyards located right outside the Castle along the beautiful Golden Mile and two neighbouring vineyards in the Similkameen Valley.
These vineyards grow Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot, and Pinot noir and are also home to some of the oldest Chenin Blanc vines in North America.
The wine menu has a great selection of reds, whites, and rose.
The old-school castle with the overgrown moss and the green hills stretching for miles on end is what really makes the experience super special.
If you've been itching to eat and drink like royalty in Scottland, this is the next best thing.
