There are few things in life that are better than watching the dynamic between two really good friends when they're hanging out. People live for celebrity bromances, and the one between Ryan Reynolds and Michael J. Fox is no exception. They hung out at a fundraiser in NYC and made the perfect Canadian duo.
We all know and love the bromances between Barack Obama and Justin Trudeau, or Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. Seeing as how he's so hilarious and charming, Reynolds' bromance with Fox doesn't come as a surprise.
Although he doesn't act quite as much anymore, Michael J. Fox is definitely still a major Canadian icon. The Edmonton-born actor got his big break way back in the 1980s and went on to work on incredible projects like Back to the Future and Teen Wolf.
In 1991, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, although he didn't disclose this information to his fans until 1998. As his symptoms worsened, the actor took a hiatus from his acting career to focus on things like the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF), which he started in 2000.
Over the years, plenty of Fox's celebrity friends have supported his foundation, one of the most noteworthy being fellow Canadian Ryan Reynolds who officially joined the board back in 2009.
Over the past decade, Reynolds and Fox have maintained a close work relationship and friendship.
In fact, just last night, Reynolds posted a photo from an MJFF event in NYC. The two actors posed together, alongside Fox's wife, Tracy Pollan.
The NYC event was titled "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's" and welcomed American singer Sheryl Crow as the musical talent for the evening.
Other celebrities at the event included Joan Jett, Katie Couric, Julianne Moore, Denis Leary, and Ali Wentworth, just to name a few.
