Ryan Reynolds started out the week in the only way he knows how: with a classic snarky yet hilarious tweet. But this week's tweet actually gave us some vital information. Ryan Reynolds Deadpool appearance in the MCU could be coming sooner than we thought.
Since Deadpool's R-rated universe came into our lives, people have been wondering if there was any way to fit this unconventional superhero into the MCU. While the MCU tends to be a more family-friendly place, there must be some way to incorporate Reynolds into it all, and they could've potentially just figured it out.
Yesterday, the Canadian celeb posted a photo of himself at the Marvel offices with the caption, "Auditioned for the role of “Anthony Stark”. Didn’t come even remotely close, but the nice man with the taser escorted me to the ground." The photo shows him casually standing in front of the Marvel Studio's sign with his hands in his pockets.

This tweet comes right after Deadpool director, Paul Wernick spoke about his future plans with Reynolds' character. He told Entertainment Weekly that they've "got several projects with him [Reynolds] in addition to the 'Deadpool' universe."
When Wernick was asked about Deadpool's potential for the MCU he responded with, "we're all still figuring it out." Adding that, "Marvel has promised to continue to let us play in the R-rated ‘Deadpool’ universe, and the hope is that they will also let us veer into the MCU a little bit as well and play in that sandbox.”
It looks like the audience wanting Deadpool to be included in the MCU isn't one-sided. They also let us know that "Ryan’s feeling is that it’s got to be the right idea, it’s got to be great."
Apparently, once they all come to an agreement, the idea will be "off on the races." They then assured us that Deadpool's future does mean a great deal to them,"...we wake up thinking about Deadpool, and we go to sleep thinking about Deadpool."
With Reynolds' visit to Marvel Studios, it looks like these ideas may be finally coming to light. While possibly not set in stone, it looks like they're well into talks about what Deadpool's future could look like alongside the rest of the Avengers.
Ryan Reynolds is already well versed with the superheroes in the MCU, and from the way he trolls them on his social media accounts, he definitely wants to be one.
We know he'll fit in perfectly.
