Dia De Los Muertos is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful holidays we celebrate and have celebrated over the course of time. It's a chance to give back to the dead as they did for us when they were alive, and encourage the tradition to continue. A Day of the Dead festival is taking place in San Antonio this fall, and it's going to be magical. As soon as Halloween is over, start mentally preparing for the two most exciting days of the year!
Starting on Friday, November 1 at 5 p.m., and going until Saturday, November 2 at 9 p.m., The Historic Pearl in San Antonio is being overrun by culture and history like we've never seen before. There'll be tons of live music, altars, vendors, and much more. It's completely open to the public and all are welcome to join in on the fun! Not a single person will feel left out on these exciting days.
Both days are planned from start to finish, jam-packed with activities for all ages. The vendors include Chamoy City Limits, La Hacienda de Los Barrios, Panifico Bake Shop, and the list goes on. Our mouths are practically watering just imagining the variety of food that will be there. Admission into the festival is free, so splurging on the goods is easier than ever before.
We're pretty sure Texas is determined to have as many Dia De Los Muertos celebrations as possible. So if you're not from San Antonio or can't visit on either day the festival is taking place, you might be in luck. Dallas, Austin, and Houston are all cities with similar festivals taking place. Wherever you're from, you'll have a chance to celebrate the dead and the living.
