New Braunfels Christmas Market Opens This Week & It's Magical

December is officially here, which means most of the Christmas events we've been looking forward to are just days away. Christkindlmarkt in New Braunfels is one of those events and begins this Friday, December 6 at 5 p.m.

You'll have two days to enjoy this German-inspired market near San Antonio, and with all of the new vendors they've recently announced, there's more of a reason to stop by than ever before.

Christkindlmarkt's official hours are 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 6 and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.

The market will be located in Bavarian Halle at Schlitterbahn Resort, New Braunfels' one, and only theme park.

This location is perfect, as the Christmas market will be open-air, to give it an authentic German feel.

Glühwein will be one of the many drinks available, and thanks to last year, they've brought back a mug specifically for it!

This year's has a brand new look to it and is available for pre-order now.

Last year, the 2018 mug sold out Saturday morning, so hurry and get yours through their website before the celebration even begins.

The Wily Baker, Kain Na, B&B Funnel Cake, and Mi Casa Tamales are just some of the food and drink vendors that have been announced.

As you can probably tell, the food will represent places from all around the world. There'll be something for everyone!

The market is free to attend as always, to make leaving with gifts for your loved ones even easier.

It's official, Buck and Lola, The Weeds Natural Skin Care, Gruene Witch Apothecary, and Preussen Studios are some of the vendors you'll be able to shop from this year.

Christkindlmarkt has so much to look forward to, we can hardly wait. And lucky for us, that wait is almost over!

The San Antonio River Walk Just Turned Into A Magical Christmas Light Spectacle

The mayor surprised the town with early Christmas lights

The San Antonio River Walk is one of the great Texas landmarks, and it has now become a Christmas wonderland.

For a good reason, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg decided to deck out the 15-mile walkway head to toe in thousands of holiday lights much earlier than normal.

That reason being this year has been terrible for just about everyone, and we could all use a little Christmas joy right about now according to Mayor Nirenberg.
