A Famous Carnitas Restaurant From Mexico Just Opened Its First U.S. Location In San Antonio
If you grew up around Mexican food then you know as well as I do that it's some of the best cuisine out there. In Texas, we're always very fortunate to discover somewhere new and delicious that you'd normally have to leave the country for. A Mexican restaurant that specializes in carnitas is saving us a trip and recently opened its first location in the U.S. in none other than San Antonio.
Carnitas' Don Raúl gained great fame after being on the Netflix series Taco Chronicles, and for good reason. Their carnitas are out of this world and knowing that, the owners decided it was time to expand outside of Mexico. San Antonio should feel very lucky because it's the only city in the U.S. that is fortunate enough to have a Carnitas Don Raúl food joint.
Pork carnitas, tacos, quesadillas, and Aguas de Sabor are all on Carnitas Don Raúl's menu. If it's your first time there, we recommend trying their pork carnitas which is what they're most known for. Though, we wouldn't be surprised if it was difficult to not order one of everything!
Everything on their menu ranges from $2.75 - $14, which is nice and affordable for customers. Once you've gotten your food, there's plenty of seating around the truck to enjoy it at.
The truck can be found on Broadway Street and is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. We hope you can make it down to good 'ole San Antonio soon, with all of the delicious food choices, and this food truck at the top, it's hard to stay away.
