San Antonio Is Having A Massive New Orleans Festival This April

If you've ever wanted to go to New Orleans but didn't have the money to do so you can now get a little taste of what it would be like you're in luck. San Antonio is hosting A Taste of New Orleans, a festival dedicated to bringing food and traditions from NOLA to Texas.
The festival will be three days long from April 12 through 14. During the three day event, you will be able to eat NOLA food such as gumbo, crawfish, etouffee and alligator. The event will also have smooth jazz and zydeco performed by artist from New Orleans itself.
Some of the artist at the festival include New Orleans Hustlers Brass Band, Step Rideau & The Zydeco Outlaws and The Right Now Society. The event wouldn't feel right without a huge New Orleans style parade lead by a brass band. You are more than welcome to join in the parade or sit back and watch.
The festival will include New Orleans favorites like The Cook House, Sauce's Southern Kitch and the ever famous Gumbo Express.
Tickets range from $12-$15 and are available at any San Antonio H.E.B. or online. Medals for this festival will be available so you be able to add it to your collection.
The event is outside and you are more than welcome to bring your own chair and enjoy the show.
Gates to the event open at 5 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday and Sunday.
