San Antonio's Historic Pearl Is Handing Out 1500 FREE Baby Fruit Trees This Month

This is giving a new meaning to "plant mom."

Being a plant mom is all the rave these days, though not everyone is the best at being one. It's hard to know what each plant needs, especially when there are so many to choose from! If you're looking for more green in your space, and an easy plant to take care of, The Historic Pearl in San Antonio has you covered with free trees thanks to San Antonio Parks and Recreation.

On Saturday, January 25, you can get in line for a free tree at The Historic Pearl in San Antonio.

San Antonio Parks and Recreation is giving away apple, pear, citrus, fig, nectarine, olive, peach, plum, pomegranate trees and more!

They range from small to large, so be sure you have room in your home for a tree before grabbing one.

It may not be a puppy, but the people generously giving them away still want to make sure they won't just end up being thrown out.

That's no way to treat your plant baby, after all.

People are able to start getting in line at The Historic Pearl for their free tree starting at 8 a.m.

That might be early, but they're anticipating the lines to get long, so you're going to want to be there as early as possible.

If you're worried about the drive to get to The Pearl, there's plenty to do and see all around it.

Grab your tree, and then check out one of the many restaurants, shops, or bakeries that claim The Pearl as their home.

If you love plants and one new tree isn't enough to satisfy your leafy green desires, Austin is home to a succulent safari you have to check out.

After all, there's no such thing as mothering too many plants!
