When we think of carnival food we often think of massive turkey legs or Frito pie, both of which are delicious but unfortunately, they're not treats everyone can enjoy. Luckily for vegetarian Texans, San Antonio's plant-based carnival is this spring and it's actually the world's first of its kind. You'll get to enjoy rides, winning prizes for your loved ones, and enjoy a nice, healthy, plant-based meal.

Starting Saturday, May 23 at 2 p.m. and ending on Sunday, May 24 at 10 p.m., is Sin-Carne-Val, the world's first-ever vegetarian carnival.

The name translates to "no meat carnival" which is obviously very fitting.

Sunset Station will be home to the carnival on both days and is located at 1174 E Commerce St. in the heart of downtown San Antonio. There's arguably no better place in SA for something like this to be held.

Admission is entirely free to the public, all that's recommended is that you register on their official Eventbrite page so that the hosts have a good idea of how many people are coming!

Dogs, kids, and, of course, adults, are all welcome to come out and have a great time. That way no one feels left out!

It's the first of its kind and we're hoping it's nowhere near the last.

While admission is free, ride and food tickets are sold separately on-site.

Vendors for the delicious, plant-based cuisine that'll be sold have yet to be announced, but the closer the event gets, the more we'll know.

You'll get to enjoy food, brews, live music, and carnival rides both Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be a blast!

Whether you live off of a plant-based diet or have yet to try anything vegan, everyone is encouraged to come out.

The more plant-based food you try, the more you'll end up loving!
