San Antonio's First U-Pick Tulip Field Is Opening This Weekend

For some time now, we've felt an overwhelming jealousy towards Dallas due to it being the only city that you could visit the iconic Texas-Tulips. Finally, our favorite field of flowers has decided to expand to one more Texas city and give others a chance to experience what makes it so amazing. As of this week, San Antonio will have a Texas-Tulips of its own for us to visit.

As of Thursday, January 23, San Antonio's first-ever Texas-Tulips will be welcoming visitors every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The San Antonio field is planning to stay open until early-March, so there'll be plenty of time to stop by if you can't come out right away.

Dallas' Texas-Tulips won't open until mid-February but will stay open until late March.

If you're not near Dallas and up for a road trip, this is the perfect time of the year to plan one to the Metroplex.

However, the fact that that's no longer necessary to experience Texas-Tulips for many is cause for celebration.

The entrance fee for Texas-Tulips is just $5 per person, which is so affordable! Plus, children twelve months and younger don't have to pay a thing.

From there, you'll have the option to U-pick which is $2.50 per tulip stem you pick. Get it?

Afterward, you'll be able to have your tulips wrapped in pretty paper and the stems will soak in flower gel to keep them nice and healthy.

Packages for veterans, seniors, and kids in school are offered, so be sure to check that out if you qualify.

Concessions will be available throughout the day and will provide snacks, chips, candy, and soda.

Parking is free, so all you have to worry about is getting there early enough to find a spot. Though they've definitely planned for big crowds.

We're so excited to finally experience a Texas-Tulips near us, and we know you must be too!
