Six Flags In San Antonio Lets You Be Trapped In A Coffin

As the month of September comes to a close, we're beginning to prepare ourselves for the spookiest time of the year. Scary movies, haunted houses, and much more are part of our plans to be fully ready for October 31. There is one thing though that takes the cake in ways to prepare for Halloween, and that's being trapped in a coffin for 30 hours. None other than Six Flags Fiesta Texas is offering an opportunity to do just that, and it's one of the most terrifying yet exciting things we've ever heard of doing.

Every year, Fright Fest brings something new and exciting with it, and this year the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge is one of many. The challenge starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 4 and lasts until 11 p.m. on Saturday, October 5. Participants will have the chance to win $600 cash, two 2020 gold combo season passes, and a Fright Fest prize package! Unlike previous years where multiple people could win, this year there will only be one champion.

Registration for the coffin challenge is happening now and is open to everyone, but only six people will be chosen to take the challenge on. Another addition to the challenge this year are elimination contests which must be performed in order to get closer to victory. Those who lose the contests will be eliminated, and anyone who gets out of their coffin for anything other than the contests or their designated bathroom breaks will have to say goodbye.

Throughout the night, you'll be surrounded by ghouls and goblins trying to scare you out of winning, but you can't let their terrifying costumes get the best of you. There's money on the line, after all! Once you've participated in something like this, you truly can take anything else on.

There are certain requirements that are listed on the Six Flags website that we recommend taking a look at before registering. If you think you can handle being trapped in a coffin for more than a day, with very little food and monsters surrounding you at all times, then this challenge is for you.

30-Hour Coffin Challenge

Price: Free!

When: October 4-5

Address: 17000 W IH 10, San Antonio, TX 78257

Why You Need To Participate: This is probably one of the scariest ways to win money, but you'll leave $600 richer and looking like a BA.
