The San Diego Zoo might be temporarily closed, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the wildlife up close. We might have found your boredom cure. The San Diego Zoo's virtual spring break is sixteen days of animal cuteness and fun to entertain you while you're stuck at home.
While the "break" is technically for the kiddos, who says it also can't be a fun escape for the kids at heart?
So, what's in store?
The party kicked off on April 3 and runs through April 19.
There are plenty of activities scheduled throughout the week that you can choose from.
You'll start your journey with a downloadable list of 101 things to do (now, we're talking). On it, you'll find everything from quizzes of how many plants you can name to random trivia and bonus questions.
If you're a little too old for these guessing games, don't worry. The adults aren't left out.
There's also some fun wildlife talks throughout the week where you can learn about everything from sloths to elephants.
Last but certainly not least, you can also watch their YouTube channels and adorable animal live cameras.
These livestreams provide crystal clear close-up views of animals as they play, eat, groom, pounce, and explore their environments.
You can catch all of the action (and all of the cuteness)!
Here, you'll find everything from ape and baboon cams to burrowing owls, butterflies, condors, elephants, giraffes, koalas, pandas, polar bears, and tigers.
Not to leave out everyone's favorite, there are also penguins.
If you've been looking for a fun way to spend your afternoon, we can't think of a better laugh than watching cute birds that look like they're wearing tiny tuxedos.
Happy spring break travels! We hope you enjoy all that sunny San Diego has to (virtually) offer.
