Have you ever daydreamed about dining in a lost forest overlooking a private waterfall? Your fantasy is probably a lot closer than you imagined. This San Diego Zoo restaurant seems too good to be true. You can sip mimosas while surrounded by exotic animals!
Since there's plenty of open-air seating at Albert's, you can get the best seat in the house to spot all of your favorite jungle animals below.
If you're lucky, you can spot cheetahs, orangutans, tigers, and rhinos from your seat!
The menu offers a variety of unique and tasty dishes. You can choose from various seafood specialties, beef and chicken entrees, yummy pasta, salads, and sandwiches.
There's also a full bar where you can order craft beers, wine, mimosas, and cocktails if you'd like. You can see the entire drink and beverage prices here on their menu.
While reservations aren't required, we highly recommend reserving a spot in advance since it's so popular.
If you visit on a chillier day, there are also options to sit inside the dining room overlooking the lush Treehouse Gardens.
Zoo admission is required to access Albert's Restaurant, so you can plan on spending a fun day exploring the parks and exhibits.
One of our favorite things is their weekend brunch. Before setting off to see all of the animals, you can eat your fill of delicious breakfast along with a bloody mary or bottomless mimosas! Yes, please.
Make sure to keep an open eye out. You're probably going to want to take lots of photos. It's not every day that you see a rhino from your brunch table, you know!
After you're done with your meal, you can explore the zoo and see all of the other exotic animals.
While you're in the area, there are plenty of fun things to do in San Diego.
One of our favorite spots is this hidden suspension bridge that leads you to jaw-dropping views of the city skyline. You can also take a kayaking tour to explore old caves and see leopard sharks in scenic La Jolla.
However you choose to spend your trip, you'll be sure to have a great time. Happy exploring!
