This Orange Sand Beach In Utah Looks Like Something From Another Planet

Houston, I think we need a day off.
Sand Hollow State Park In Utah Is A Scene Scape From Another Planet

If there is one thing we think is out of this world, it is discovering something that feels totally different. Sand Hollow State Park in Utah features a gorgeous lake surrounded by orange sand dunes. The beaches look like something found on Mars and the blue and green waters look so refreshing, you'll want to jump in no matter the time of year.

The park is just under 300 miles south of Salt Lake City and is a short drive away to Zion National Park.

There are a number of activities you can enjoy when visiting Sand Hollow, including fishing, boating, and water skiing. You can also hop in an off-road vehicle and cruise the epic dunes surrounding the lake.

The park is open to visitors year-round. Entry is $10 per vehicle.

The water stays warm for a good portion of the year, making it an ideal stop for camping and water sports.

The scenic landscape of orange rocks and sand contrasts with the stunning blue of the water to create an other-worldly atmosphere.

If the epic backdrop isn't enough to convince you to check it out, the list of activities surely will.

Sand Hollow hosts dunes perfect for off-highway vehicles, with around 15,000 acres to traverse.

You and your friends can rent jet skis or a boat for the day, perfect for exploring the lake and the awesome orange vista surrounding it.

Sand Hollow is a newer addition to Utah's list of legendary state parks, making it a must-do for any adventurer's list.

We recommend grabbing a group of your friends and heading out for a weekend of beers, boating, and bright orange beaches.

After all, this might be the closest we get to visiting Mars... or at least seeing what it would look like with water!
