Marvel fans rejoice because a new movie is being added to the collection and revolves solely around the female superhero, Black Widow. Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as Natasha Romanoff after fans requested a solo movie from her for years. The trailer just dropped this week and it hints that Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow character might have a Canadian connection.

Johansson first put on Black Widow's costume in The Avengers, which came out in 2012.

Since then, she's been in two Captain America films in 2014 and 2016, and three other Avengers movies in 2015, 2018, and 2019.

According to TIME, "this movie is a prequel, set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War."

Spoiler alert: The Marvel character died in the most recent Avengers film which is why her story can't be continued following that plot.

In the trailer, Johansson's voice begins by saying, "I used to have nothing, and then I got this job, this family. But nothing lasts forever."

She then narrates saying, "I've lived a lot of lives but I'm done running from my past," and as she says that, her character is shown flipping through driver's licences.

Though it's a quick scene, one card clearly says "California" with a very familiar one behind it.

The third card in her hand looks unmistakenly like a British Columbia driver's licence.

Perhaps one of the lives Romanoff has lived was somewhere in B.C., which means she spent time in the chilly north.

Though it's unconfirmed whether the movie will mention that Black Widow lived in Canada, the hint the trailer drops is pretty interesting.

You'll also get to see your favourite Stranger Things star because David Harbour will join the Marvel film as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, according to IMDb

If you want to get caught up before watching this in theatres, Disney+ has tons of Marvel movies to get yourself excited and brush up on your superhero knowledge.

Black Widow will be in theatres on May 1, 2020.
