The Rosebud Motel is currently closed for business. With the series wrapping up their 6 season run, it may be an emotional time for fans. However, Dan Levy is warning fans about celebrating the comedy by visiting Schitt’s Creek filming locations.
In a pleading tweet sent out this past Monday, the official Schitt’s Creek Twitter account took the time to address their fans.
They explained that they had received information about groups of people visiting Goodwood, Ontario, the town that acts as Schitt’s Creek.
Urging fans to listen to the government’s social distancing protocols they wrote, “Please stay home until it’s safe to visit again. At the moment, it is a health risk to the residents of the town, some of whom are immunocompromised.”
Dan Levy quoted the tweet reiterating to fans how important it was that everyone understands the respect Goodwood deserves, “The towns where we shot Schitt’s Creek were so lovely and accommodating to us. Please show them the same respect. Visiting right now is a threat to the residents’ health and safety. Thanks for understanding.”

Levy received nothing but praise in the comments even being referred to as a “class act” and commended by actual residents of the town.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Gary Barton, mayor of Uxbridge, the township where Goodwood is located. He spoke about his feelings when it came to continued tourism.
Although he admitted that he loved being the “home of Schitt’s Creek” he also warned people about taking proper precautions, “We look forward to welcoming fans in the future when the borders are once again open and travel advisories and health care crises have abated.”
Part one of the Schitt’s Creek series finale airs March 31 on CBC.
