You know how rainy days have us craving for a giant, comforting bowl of soup? This perhaps fits the bill. You can get the largest pho in Washington at this spot in Seattle. And tbh, it'll probably feed a small army.
At Dong Thap Noodles in Chinatown International District, they sell what they describe as the "world's largest bowl of pho" for $77. It serves six people and they have other variations ranging between $25 for two people and $65 for five people.
Aptly called the Super Bowl Pho, the massive 16-inch bowl weighs well over 13 pounds!
The traditional Vietnamese soup is a delicious concoction with sizeable chunks of steak, flank, brisket, tripe, tendon, and meatballs with plenty of assorted vegetables, and handmade noodles. It also comes with a generous portion of lime, jalapenos, and veggies on the side.
If you're a seafood lover, you can substitute the meaty order for one with shrimp, squid, and fishball instead.
The size of this dish even inspired a food challenge where you could win $100 if you finished it! Although it no longer exists, you can now split this bowl between four and seven people depending on how hungry you are.
Reviews suggest that you be at your hungriest the day you visit.
If you're not up for this dare which is pho-real, you can even get a tiny portion for $9.85.
They have other options such as vermicelli and udon noodle bowls and an assortment of fried rice that will make you just as hungry.
The homely restaurant which seats about 35 people at a time gets pretty crowded during the day. So make sure to go at a time it's not overly busy.
There's no parking here, so you'll have to find a spot on the District's streets which can be a challenge.
Since it opens at 10 a.m. every day and closes at 9 p.m., we recommend going out for brunch to snag a spot. It'll give you enough time to make your way through the bowl.
If you love a good foodie adventure, you should also check out all the spots in Pike Place Market you can hit in one day. 'Cause when it comes to food, it's always worth it.
