When stores are shut down, online shopping has its perks. Sephora Canada is closing its stores and offering free shipping when you order from their website until the end of March. So you can still get all your makeup and even some hand cream to stay moisturized.
On March 16, it was announced that all of the company's retail stores will be closed as of 5:00 p.m. local time on March 17 because of COVID-19.
"Following guidance from public health authorities, we understand that practicing social distancing and reducing dense public gatherings as much as possible is critically important at this time," said Jean-André Rougeot, president and CEO of Sephora Americas, in a statement.
The closure will last until April 3 so you won't be able to go out and get your beauty products in-store for more than two weeks.
However, the makeup retailer is making it easier for you to shop by offering free shipping on their website and app until 11:59 p.m. PT on March 31.
This free standard shipping offer is valid on merchandise purchases made before the deadline when you use the code FREESHIP.
You can't use it while using discount promotion codes or with Rouge Reward and it's only valid for shipping within Canada or the U.S.
Online and in the app, there will be a wide variety of products from all categories available for you to purchase.
You could get hand cream, cleansers, eye palettes, lip balms, bubble bath and so many more items and not have to pay any shipping.
Rougeot also said that they are committed to supporting everybody's beauty needs even though people can't go into stores for a little while.
All Sephora socials have how-to videos and other beauty-related content to get you through the day with a little bit of fun.
Employees who are no longer able to work because of the closures will still get their base pay for any scheduled shifts during the shutdown.
