Shania Twain Said She Has A Collab With Post Malone Written & We’re Here For It
It's only been a day since the internet fell in love with Post Malone jamming out to Shania Twain's performance at the AMAs, and the duo proved they're both actually huge fans of each other. Although if you've been keeping up, they've been sharing their mutual adoration for a while. A recent interview gave us even more to look forward to because Shania Twain and Post Malone might give us a collaboration we never knew we needed.
ET Canada first reported that the 54-year-old country singer was on The Talk yesterday and the episode will air on cable television on Wednesday.
The "Sunflower" singer was called a "superfan" by Sheryl Underwood and she asked Twain if she has any plans to record a song with him.
The country megastar responded, "Oh I've written a song for us already! He doesn't know it yet, he knows now. I have a song for us."
She didn't share any more details about the song like a title or the genre, and the topic was quickly changed before she could delve out more information.
The singer, who hails from Timmins, Ontario, also mentioned that she didn't have the opportunity to chat with the rapper at the AMAs. Let's hope this news reaches him so they actually have the chance to record her song together.
In the interview, Twain was also shown the video of Malone jamming out to her singing "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" at the AMAs on Sunday and she loved it.
On Twitter, she retweeted the video writing, "Awesome! I’m so glad I got to see this! @PostMalone’s got moves."
The two singers' love for each other isn't all that new and they've been posting about it for a while.
In August, Twain posted an Instagram of Malone talking about her on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he said the backstage at his concerts is just a lot of Shania Twain music.
The post also includes a video of him playing beer pong with Fallon and he shouted, "This one's for Shania, baby!" before sinking a cup.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she told them that she's "proud of Post Malone" who was just a child when she first began her musical career.
That was also the same interview where her response was cut off and made to seem like she called Taylor Swift ugly in a video posted on Twitter.
Twain was also asked by Eve about a potential collaboration with Lizzo and Janelle Monáe, following a hangout this past summer.
She told them, "We all had a really great time, so I was very inspired after that and I went home and I actually wrote a song for the three of us. It's called "Sisters," and I think we're just all sisters in what we do, and it was a really great new friendship that we started so I went home and wrote that song. And they don't know that either yet!"
