Shawn Mendes Is Helping Australia With Wildfire Relief & We Love Him Even More

As Australia is ravaged by wildfires, Canadians are coming to together to help. Multi-Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and professional dream-boat Shawn Mendes is helping Australians by pledging his support to the wildfire efforts on social media. He's basically Canada's goodwill ambassador and we love him for it.
"Every time I’ve been to Australia I’ve fallen more in love with the people & wildlife," wrote Mendes in his tweet.
"Join me & support relief efforts for the devastating effects of the wildfires." He posted it with a photo of him feeding what looks like a little kangaroo.
Wildfire has raged across Australia over the past three months leading to the destruction of millions of acres, the extinction of countless species, and the displacement of thousands of people.
While their situation is dire, the world has come together to help. Now Mendes joins the efforts of Canada's firefighters to battle the blaze, turning the force of his foundation to supporting wildfire relief.
You too can join Mendes in his aid efforts in Australia. Consider donating directly to the Mendes Foundation or Australian Red Cross.
According to PBS, you can also donate household items to Australians in need, bid on books over Twitter, donate to firefighting brigades or support Koala rehabilitation efforts.
The Mendes Foundation, started by the kind-hearted star to support youth causes like mental health awareness, education, and anti-bullying, has announced their partnership with the Australian Red Cross, NSW Rural Fire Service, and SA country Fire Service on social media today.
If this isn’t enough to convince you of the star’s love for Australia, then just ask his fans. Mendes’s October visit to the country left Australians gushing over his kindness.
Other stars and celebrities have also flocked to help, with big names like Chris Hemsworth, Elton John, Ellen DeGeneres, Selena Gomez, and Russel Crowe all taking to Twitter to urge their followers to help.
