Shay Mitchell Revealed The Birth Of Her Baby With The Most Precious Photo
Shay Mitchell has had one busy week and we are so happy to see her thriving. In the matter of a few days, she celebrated the one year anniversary of her luggage brand BÉIS and celebrated the birth of her first baby with boyfriend Matte Babel. The little girl came into the world sometime on the weekend, though the exact date isn't yet shared, nor is her name or details about her size and weight. Shay Mitchell's baby was revealed in the most adorable photo on Instagram and the internet is freaking out.
The 32-year-old Canadian first announced her pregnancy in June with a professional photo featuring her topless (covering the bits of course) and showing off her six months along baby bump. She captioned the photo "Does this mean I’m allowed to drive in the carpool lane at all times now?" in her usual humorous fashion. Obviously her fans immediately freaked with excitement.
Shortly after the first photo, Mitchell shared on her YouTube channel that she "chose to hold on until I announced because of the first time" stating that just a year earlier, she suffered a miscarriage after 14 weeks. Her ability to bounce back on her feet after such a tragic loss is truly inspiring.
The Mississauga born businesswoman got tons of congratulations just hours after posting the photo. Her Pretty Little Liars costar, Troian Bellisario, commented "Most beautiful babe and mother. 😍" which got 160,000 likes so fans were definitely freaking out. Vanessa Hudgens said "Omg babe. Congratulations 🙌🏼🙌🏼🌹🌹🌹💋🍾" which also got a ton of attention from the audience. And baby daddy Matte Babel commented a "❤️" to show his love for his new family. Tons of other celebs popped in to send their congratulations and a whopping 3.3 million people have liked the photo in just hours.
Mitchell started documenting her pregnancy journey on her YouTube channel in a series she called Almost Ready, where she posted weekly videos about both the reality and comedic side of being pregnant. She posted a hilarious gender reveal in July sharing with the world that she was having a baby girl. And a week before the birth, she posted a video of her up and dancing to the Baby Mama Dance while super overdue and in desperate need to get the baby out.
The one year anniversary of BÉIS was on October 17 which means that her company baby and her baby are going to be celebrating birthdays quite close to each other every year.
