Since they started releasing original content in 2013, Netflix has dipped its toes into pretty much every existing genre. The streaming service has released "choose your own adventure" type experiences, brought back some of your favourite cancelled TV shows, and they've even tried their luck with reality TV, which is one of their many upcoming projects. Singapore Social on Netflix Canada is the reality series you didn't know you needed.

If you haven't yet heard of the series, Singapore Social takes a look into the lives of young Singaporeans as they try to make sense of their family, home, and romantic lives. It definitely has The Hills meets Keeping Up with the Kardashians vibes, but people have also compared it to Crazy Rich Asians because of the location.

The trailer for the series was released by Netflix this morning, and without even watching an episode, people are already calling the show out for not accurately representing Singaporeans, and for being too much like these other reality shows.

"Was waiting for a Singaporean accent..... and nope. lol anyway, they don't represent the majority of Singaporeans living here," one upset viewer commented. "Pass on this one. Just looks like another reality hob knob show," added another.

If you're the kind of person who loves reality TV for the trashy and drama-filled content, you might really love Singapore Social, but if you're hoping for something that accurately represents the country and its people, you'll probably be disappointed.

If this doesn't sound like your type of show, but you're still in search of something to watch on Netflix this month, the streaming service has released plenty of holiday content like Let It Snow and Holiday in the Wild

If this does sound like your type of show, be sure to look out for Singapore Social when it hits Netflix on November 22. You can watch the trailer for the series below.
