You may remember a couple of months back when famous rapper Snoop Dogg started speaking very publically about how he wanted to become a Canadian citizen (I mean, can you blame him?). Unfortunately, his plan never really worked out, but that doesn't mean he can't still come back and visit! Snoop has always been super open about his love for our country, and now Snoop Dogg is headlining the 2019 Calgary Stampede.

It wasn't too long ago that DJ Snoopadelic last made an appearance in Calgary - he had a concert at the Scotiabank Saddledome back in February of this year, along with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Late yesterday, June 13th, the official Cowboys Music Festival Instagram paged revealed another major announcement for this year's Stampede - Snoop Dogg will be coming to Cowboys Dance Hall on Tuesday, July 9th.

Although he won't be hosting a party in the tent, you probably saw, or at least heard about how crazy it was when Snoop hosted an after-party at Cowboys after his last concert, the place was absolutely PACKED and so many Calgarians had nothing but love to show for DJ Snoopadelic.

Tickets for the concert go on sale this morning at 10 a.m. MST. Ticket prices haven't been announced yet, but other Cowboy's Stampede headliners are charging between $40 - $80, although this event may be cheaper because it's in the Dance Hall, and not the Stampede tent.

Other headliners that have been announced so far this year include Lee Brice, Guy Fieri, Lil Nas X (who Cowboys apparently paid $50,000 for), Juice Wrld, and Brett Eldredge. It may be just 20 days until the Stampede kicks off, but Cowboys Music Festival isn't even close to finishing announcing headliners yet, so keep an eye out for more awesome concerts and deals on tickets!
