Sophie Grégoire Trudeau Has A New Podcast & Tessa Virtue Is One Of Her First Guests

There's more time than ever to find new podcasts. Not only that, but more people than ever are making them. Even Sophie Grégoire Trudeau has her own show now, and her first guest is Olympian Tessa Virtue.

In a May 4 Instagram post, Grégoire Trudeau announced the We Well-Being podcast, which will focus on mental health and feature two guests on every episode.

"As we go through this pandemic and these uncertain times together, it’s important to reflect on our mental health and be there to support each other," the caption of the post reads.

Other guests who have made appearances on the show so far include former NFL defensive tackle Esera Tuaolo and even her mother-in-law Margaret Trudeau.

The show also features interviews with mental health experts, such as Megan Popovic, the Director of Athlete Wellbeing and Performance for the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club, and Jean Clinton, Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.

There will also be French-language episodes available to listen to, with the first one featuring an interview with singer and businesswoman Mitsou Gelinas.

The podcast is available to listen to and download at the WE website. Currently, there are five English episodes and one French episode available.

"Between you and me, it’s my sincere hope that you’ll take these conversations (and others in the weeks to come!) to heart and have more conversations on your own, with your friends and loved ones," Grégoire Trudeau wrote in her Instagram caption.

The prime minister's wife has long been an advocate for mental health and has opened up about her own struggles with bulimia during her teen years.

In early March, it was confirmed that she had been diagnosed with COVID-19. She announced that she had made a full recovery by the end of the month. She described her symptoms as being "intense" during an interview.
