When all of this is finally over, one thing that will remain in people's minds forever is when the Prime Minister said "speaking moistly." It was the kind of statement that never goes away. It's also driving some hilarious creativity on Tiktok.
During his April 7 address to the country, Justin Trudeau was asked about wearing masks and whether it's an effective measure for Canadians to take during this time, especially if they're out in public.
In answering, he said, "It protects others more than it protects you because it prevents you from breathing or speaking moistly on them."
He followed his statement by adding, "what a terrible image." He didn't know the half of it.
Like almost every other moment in pop culture, it's also been seized upon by members of the TikTok community.
The #speakingmoistly tag has already racked up over 617,000 views, and people are getting really creative with what they're doing.
That includes dance numbers to the autotuned song, as well as hilarious reactions and punchlines added onto the Prime Minister's original statements.
TikTok user @lilgudgy used the song to create a dance with a friend. However, the real surprise comes right at the end, so make sure to watch it all the way through.
Another user, @balasz_thedesigner, also created a dance to go along with the autotune remix.
Even medical professionals got in on the fun, with a video from user @jenhrn98_ that shows just how terrible it can be to get some moist words right to the face.
Rather than taking the musical route, many other users preferred to just do something comedic with the message, which is still kind of weird, no matter how it's spun.
At least people are finding ways to have a little bit of fun during this time.
