What would you wish for during Christmas if you were Bianca Andreescu? I mean, this would be a hard year to buy gifts for the tennis star who earned millions of dollars and made all her wildest dreams come true this season. Well, if you’re as beautiful a person as Bianca is, you would wish for something that would bring joy to others like hot chocolate for all or perhaps a particular group of boys winning the Stanley Cup.

Bianca was in Toronto this Thursday to help Toronto celebrate its annual tree lighting ceremony at the Eaton Centre.

The 19-year-old served as the host of the festivities as over 15,000 people crowded into the mall to watch the tree light up and catch a glimpse of the beloved athlete.

Forever humble, Bianca gushed to CTV News that she was taken aback by the number of people who came out to the event.

However, the most touching moment of her outing was when Bianca was asked what she wanted for Christmas, and she responded by saying “world peace” before throwing Toronto a bone and wishing for the Leafs and the Raptors to win their respective championships.

After stating all she wanted this year was for the Leafs to finally win the Cup, the tennis star told CTV, "That would be amazing. That would definitely be a wish come true.”

Bianca confirmed earlier this month that she would be stepping down for the rest of the 2019 season so that she could recover from a nasty knee injury.

The early retirement didn’t seem to phase the sports celeb who was last spotted taking a Europe trip, clearly enjoying her time off from the hustle and pressure that made her who she is.

The tennis star told reporters at the ceremony that she had learned a lot about herself during her 2019 journey.

“It wasn’t all butterflies and rainbows. I’ve been injured quite a lot. I’m dealing with an injury right now, but I really learned to persevere as much as you can because this is what I love to do.”

“All I can say is that I am really grateful for what has happened in my life, and I really can’t ask for more.”
