Okay, who’s ready for an episode of Keeping Up With Canada’s Power Couple? Whether they’re reading books and completing puzzles or going on romantic mountain hikes, you can always count on Tessa Virtue and Morgan Rielly to be the absolute cutest. And, if you want to know how it all started, we’ve laid out a complete timeline of their romance.

Rumours of the alleged relationship have been skating around hockey Twitter since late 2019.

However, both Virtue and Rielly kept things on the DL.

In fact, for a long while, Morgan didn’t even tell his teammate and BFF Auston Matthews about the romance. Something that made AM34 a little salty, if you recall.

Of course, confirmation of the romance finally came in March, when the power-duo revealed they were social distancing together on an Arkells live stream

This came as a shock to all of those fans who hadn’t been following the rumour mill.

But for others, this was the “I knew it!” moment they had waited so long for.

So, if you want to know how this love story came to light, just take a peek at our timeline below.

It will definitely make you say “aw.”

December 2019: Are They Or Aren't They?

Rumours regarding the figure skating icon and the Leafs defenceman started skating around Twitter near the start of the 2019/20 NHL season.

In fact, many on Twitter believed the alleged couple had actually broken up at the time. Some even blamed Rielly's in-game performance on the apparent split.

Ouch.

January 2020: Spotted At MLSE's A Night With Blue And White

Hockey and figure skating fans alike were screaming after photos of Virtue and Rielly at the MLSE charity event surfaced online.

While there was still no official confirmation on their romance, this photo all but sealed the deal as far as Leafs fans were concerned.

And hey, they weren't wrong.

February 2020: Heart Eyes For Days

All it took was one innocent heart-eye emoji comment on an Instagram post to send the internet into a frenzy.

Virtue left the presumably flirty comment on a post where Morgan was featured in a suit.

Spicy!

February 2020: AM34 Spills The Tea

Auston Matthews held nothing back when he appeared on Barstool's "Spittin’ Chicklets" podcast.

During the juicy interview, AM34 revealed he and Rielly weren't hanging out as much because of Moe's new girlfriend.

Again, Matthews never dropped Tessa's name, but all signs were pointing #Toe, or are we going with #Messa?

March 2020: Power Couple Status Pre-Appointed

By this point in the Rielly Virtue saga, we already had one public appearance, one heart-eye emoji, and one seemingly revealing Auston Matthews interview.

The evidence was stacking up and fans did not hesitate to crown the pair Canada's newest power couple — official confirmation or not.

March 2020: Not-So-Secret Handwashing Location

If you weren't already fully subscribed to the idea that these two Canadian athletes are in love, then this handwashing video will give you the extra push you need.

The video, posted on Toronto Maple Leafs Instagram, showed Morgan expressing the importance of washing your hands during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Virtue fans were quick to note the very familiar looking windows and the fresh flowers: a staple in the Virtue household.

Were these two social distancing together? Could it be?!

March 2020: Confirmation At Last

Finally, after months of rumours and wishful thinking, Morgan Rielly and Tessa Virtue publicly revealed their relationship on an Arkells live stream.

Turns out the pair were isolating in Vancouver all along.

In the live stream, Tessa and Moe were nothing but real-life heart eyes.

Seriously, have you seen anything cuter?

March 2020: Couples Who Squat Together, Stay Together

Shortly after the live stream, Virtue took to Instagram to share videos of her and Moe working out while hiking through the Vancouver mountains.

At one point she even sits on his back while he does push-ups.

The cuteness was almost too much for fans to handle.

April 2020: In It Together

In the couples latest update, Morgan Rielly kept things short but so sweet.

According to TSN's Kristen Shilton, Rielly said, "We're in it together, trying to keep each other sane, and do our part and just quarantine. I really won't talk about it too much, but I'm really glad I'm not alone."

So if you didn't know, now you know.

One thing's for sure, we can't wait to see what Canada's favourite new couple does next.
